Det internasjonale tennisintegritetsbyrået kunngjorde fredag at de hadde suspendert Jasmina Tinjić i seks år for angivelig å fikse kamper.
ITIA sa at Tinjić har innrømmet 23 «brudd på Tennis Anti-Corruption Program», inkludert «å finne ut av kampene, legge til rette for veddemål, motta penger til gjengjeld for ikke å yte sitt beste i kampene, og unnlatelse av å rapportere korrupte tilnærminger».
Den 33 år gamle Tinjić, rangert så høyt som 236. i 2013, bestred ikke anklagene knyttet til «korrupt aktivitet» i 2017 og 2018, sa ITIA.
International Betting Integrity Association ble flagget i januar 2018 mens hun spilte i en turnering, noe som førte til en etterforskning.
«Svenske myndigheter gjennomførte en etterforskning av forskjellige tenniskamper Tinjić spilte i og som det også var mistenkelig spillaktivitet for,» sa ITIA i sin kjennelse.
Den etterforskningen førte til straffeanklager mot henne etter at hun ble funnet skyldig i å ha mottatt en bestikkelse på 12 000 SEK (tilsvarer rundt 1 160 dollar).
Den fant at flere kamper i tre forskjellige land ble fikset. Det ble også avslørt at det hadde vært en bankoverføring.
ITIA slettet navnet på hvem som foretok overføringen og andre detaljer fra tilfeller av den påståtte kampfiksingen.
Tinjić klarte heller ikke å samarbeide og skal ha tuklet med bevis.
«På det tidspunktet var hun ekstremt stresset og led av angst og depresjon,» sa byrået. «Hennes økonomiske situasjon forverret disse og tillot henne ikke å håndtere dem ordentlig. Hun var dermed sårbar og lot seg påvirke på en måte som ellers ikke skulle ha skjedd. For dette uttrykker hun sin dype anger og angst.»
Tinjić hadde allerede blitt utstedt en 4½-års utestengelse i Sverige etter en kampfiksingsundersøkelse der.
ITIA sa at dens seks år lange utestengelse ble tilbakedatert for å matche det svenske utestengelsen og vil ende 17. mai 2028.
Tinjić vant fire singel- og 12 dobbelttitler på ITFs kvinnetur.
