Disney eliminerer angivelig 300 bedriftsjobber denne uken – den siste runden i et bredt kostnadskuttinitiativ fra administrerende direktør Bob Iger.
Jobbkuttene – som begynte onsdag og vil fortsette torsdag og muligens fredag, ifølge en Deadline-rapport – påvirker stillinger i USA og påvirker Mouse Houses bedriftsdrift, ifølge underholdningsnyheten.
Berørte avdelinger inkluderer menneskelige ressurser, juss, økonomi og kommunikasjon.
Deadline sa at parkdivisjonen, ESPN og Disney Entertainment ikke ble rammet av kutt denne runden.
Det Burbank, California-baserte selskapet ble sist rammet av permitteringer 31. juli.
På den tiden ble omtrent 140 personer sluppet løs i Disneys underholdnings-TV-enhet, som representerte 2% av divisjonens arbeidsstyrke.
I mai reduserte Disney-animasjonsstudioet Pixar staben med 14 %, og eliminerte rundt 200 jobber.
Disney har trimmet kostnadene siden Bob Iger kom tilbake som administrerende direktør i slutten av 2022.
Disneys store første bølge i 2023 kuttet ned omtrent 7000 jobber over flere runder, som representerte omtrent 3,2 % av selskapets totale globale arbeidsstyrke.
«Vi evaluerer kontinuerlig måter å investere i virksomhetene våre på og mer effektivt administrere ressursene og kostnadene våre for å gi næring til den toppmoderne kreativiteten og innovasjonen som forbrukerne verdsetter og forventer av Disney,» sa en talsperson for Disney i en uttalelse til Deadline.
«Som en del av dette pågående optimaliseringsarbeidet har vi gjennomgått kostnadsstrukturen for funksjonene våre på bedriftsnivå og har bestemt at det er måter for dem å operere mer effektivt,» la representanten til.
Disney svarte ikke umiddelbart på forespørsler om ytterligere kommentarer.
Kuttene kommer midt i beltestrammingen i mediebransjen, som har blitt presset av det matte reklamemarkedet og akselerasjonen av snorklipping.
Tidligere denne uken vedtok Paramount Global fase to av planen sin om å kutte ned 2000 arbeidsplasser eller 15 % av arbeidsstyrken i forkant av den planlagte fusjonen med Skydance Media, som forventes å bli ferdigstilt neste år.
