WATERTOWN, Wis. – Et mistenkt medlem av den venezuelanske gjengen Tren de Aragua ble arrestert for angivelig brutalisering av en kvinne og datteren hennes i en liten by i Wisconsin – og hjembyen GOP-representanten David Van Orden sa at det bare var «et spørsmål om tid» før tragedie rammet takket være Biden-Harris-administrasjonens åpne grensepolitikk.
Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate, 26, satt i håndjern sent i forrige uke, er anklaget for seksuelt og fysisk overgrep mot en kvinne «under spesielt brutale omstendigheter», holdt kvinnen og datteren mot deres vilje og «i løpet av en periode seksuelt og fysisk overgrep. dem begge, sa Prairie du Chiens politisjef Kyle Teynor på en pressekonferanse mandag.

Van Orden – som snudde det tredje kongressdistriktet med sin seier i 2022 – sa at hans hjemby med 5500 mennesker har blitt rystet av nyhetene, men han registrerte liten overraskelse.
«Det er sjokkerende, men det er ikke overraskende,» sa den tidligere Navy SEAL til The Post Monday. «Alle naboene mine, folket i hjembyen min, ringte oss umiddelbart.»
Van Orden sa at arrestasjonen av Coronel Zarate var et stort problem på et kampanjearrangement han holdt en time nord i La Crosse i helgen – siden lokalsamfunn har blitt «redd» etter disse forbrytelsene.
«For meg er det sjokkerende og det er nesten utilgivelig hva denne administrasjonen gjør,» sa han til The Post.
«De har åpnet grensen vår, og vi har millioner av illegale romvesener som kan komme inn i landet. Det er klart at mange av dem lett kan identifiseres som kriminelle ulovlige romvesener. Og de kidnapper, voldtar og myrder barna våre. De terroriserer samfunnene våre rundt om i landet. Og Biden-administrasjonen blåser det av.»
«En kriminell med en lett identifiserbar gjengtatovering tillatt å komme inn i landet under grensesar Harris,» la kongressmedlemmet vantro til.
Tren de Aragua har sivet inn i helligdomsbyforsteder og ødelagt rolige samfunn – bare denne uken. The Post rapporterte at den brutale migrantgjengen tok over et leilighetskompleks i Aurora, Co., og tvang utleieren til å selge den nå kastede leiegården.
Nå siktet for en rekke grufulle forbrytelser, inkludert seksuelle overgrep, vold, kvelning, kvelning, falsk fengsling, barnemishandling og ordensforstyrrelse, har Coronel Zarate sittet bak murene før.

Prairie du Chien-politiet bekreftet at Zarate kom inn i USA i september 2023 «ved eller i nærheten av innfartsstedet til El Paso, TX».
Van Orden tok sikte på Biden-administrasjonen for feilhåndtering av grensen, som han sier tillot et gjengmedlem inn i samfunnet på en pressekonferanse med sjef Teynor og sheriff Dale McCullick fra Crawford County, der migranten er bak murene.
«Og jeg bryr meg ikke om din politiske tilhørighet. Dette er ikke et demokratisk spørsmål. Det er ikke et uavhengig eller libertariansk spørsmål. Dette er et menneskerettighetsspørsmål, sa han.
«Amerikanske borgeres menneskerettigheter blir krenket. De blir kidnappet, voldtatt og myrdet av kriminelle ulovlige romvesener, og det må bare stoppe.»
Van Orden forsvarer setet sitt mot den demokratiske utfordreren Rebecca Cooke på Wisconsins vestlige grense i november. Cook Political Report vurderer R+4-setet som et «Lean Republican»-løp.
En meningsmåling fra Marquette Law School utført i juni fant at innvandring er det nest øverste problemet for velgere når det gjelder å velge kandidater i november, etter økonomien og før abort.
Det har vært rundt 11 millioner kjente ulovlige innreiser til USA, definert som antall møter med toll- og grensebeskyttelse, siden president Biden og visepresident Kamala Harris tiltrådte.
