Emily Webb sto midt på gaten da en bil traff henne, brakk ankelen hennes og etterlot henne skrikende av smerte.
Men det var ikke en tilfeldig ulykke eller en påkjørsel, det var en nettrend som gikk galt.
Hvis du skriver inn ordene «stol på ham-trenden» på TikTok, vil det dukke opp videoer som har samlet millioner av visninger av kvinner som setter deres sikkerhet i fare for å bevise deres tillit til sine mannlige partnere.

Det er rett og slett ikke noe å finne på dette.
Kvinner vil legge ut bildetekster som «trygt å si at jeg stoler på deg» eller «stol på ham med livet mitt».
Webb, 25, bor i Australia og bestemte seg for å prøve trenden selv.
Hun er singel, så hun fikk en mannlig venn til å gjøre det med henne.
Opptak viser Ms. Webb som står midt på veien og ser selvsikker ut i en crop top og shorts.
Hun stoler på at vennen hennes vil stoppe i tide, akkurat som de andre mennene på internett gjorde.
Sjåføren gjør ikke det, og i stedet for å bremse i tide, kjører bilen inn i den unge Aussie, og du kan se smerten i ansiktet hennes når hun faller i bakken.
«Stoppe! Gå bakover,” skrek fru Webb. Sjåføren rygget raskt, men skaden er skjedd.
Hun falt i bakken og skrek av smerte.
Et sekund der satt beinet hennes fastklemt under bilen, og nå er hun alvorlig skadet på grunn av det mislykkede forsøket på trenden.
«Vennen min brøt ikke i tide og kjørte over ankelen min, noe som forårsaket et potensielt brudd,» sa hun til news.com.au.
Men hun angrer ikke på at hun forsøkte trenden ettersom videoen ble godt innhold, og hun har lagt den ut på sosiale medier.
«Jeg angrer ikke. Men jeg vil definitivt ikke bli påkjørt av en bil igjen. Jeg føler meg heldig som ikke engang var en centimeter lenger. Det kunne vært så mye verre, sier hun.
«Det så ut som en veldig morsom, spennende trend, og vi kunne lage en søt video. Jeg visste at trenden var farlig, men sosiale medier får det til å føles mye mindre alvorlig når alle andre gjør det helt fint.
«Jeg har lært at jeg ikke kan stole på en mann.»
Hun står nå overfor en ganske lang gjenopprettingsprosess, men er lettet over at det ikke vil påvirke arbeidet hennes for mye.
«Skaden vil definitivt påvirke arbeidet mitt litt som innholdsskaper, det begrenser hva jeg kan gjøre i noen uker,» sa hun.
«Når jeg sier det, er jeg utrolig heldig som er selvstendig næringsdrivende og kan jobbe etter min egen timeplan.»
Kommentaren på nettet om trenden er blandet.
Noen har merket det for «farlig», og andre har uttrykt frykt for at hvis de forsøkte det, ville kjæresten deres «tilfeldigvis» kjøre dem over.
Noen har delt at kjærestene deres ville nekte å gjøre denne trenden fordi de ikke ville «sjanse» deres sikkerhet.
Unge mennesker blir også påvirket av trenden, selv når de innser at det ikke er trygt: «Jeg vil gjøre dette, men jeg er redd,» skrev en.
