Alle som har eid en Urban Decay Naked øyenskyggepalett siden videregående kan takke denne forskeren for å svare om den er for gammel til fortsatt å bruke.
TikTok-bruker @the_lab_life1 la ut en video som tester hennes Naked Basics øyenskyggepalett som hun fikk i 2017 for bakterier.
«Jeg vet at den er fra 2017 fordi jeg fikk den på skoleball,» skrev hun videoen med 5,8 millioner visninger.
Etter å ha tatt på seg laboratoriefrakken, tørket brukeren av hver av de seks nyansene i paletten og satte innholdet av vattpinnene på to petriskåler.
Hun inkuberte petriskålene i 24 timer, fjernet dem og oppdaget ingen tegn til bakterievekst overhodet fra hennes syv år gamle palett.
I motsetning til eksperimentet hennes, har sminke faktisk utløpsdatoer, og eksperter anbefaler ofte å kaste produkter når de passerer datoen som er oppført.
