Luksuriøse designhus prøver å slanke og debutere elegante «Ozempic coats» som høstens flotteste pynt.
«Det er et sterkt, selvsikkert utseende,» sa Sophie Jordan, kjøperen av herreklær hos nettbutikken Mytheresa, til Bloomberg, som laget den frekke «Ozempic coat»-etiketten.
«[It’s] et element som er utrolig enkelt å ha på seg,» sa hun, «og integreres i garderoben din.»
Det er jazzy slankhet uten jabs.
Mens manien over vekttapsmedisiner raser, lener couturiers over hele verden seg til slankere snitt og silhuetter.
En fersk undersøkelse avslørte at hele 15,5 millioner mennesker – omtrent 6% av amerikanske voksne – har vendt seg til injiserbare midler som Ozempic og Wegovy for å kaste overflødig pund.
Og den fett-zapping mani har fått designere til å churne ut «edgiere», flere trimming passform som har justerbare korsetter og ren utsmykning.
Noen smaksmakere, som Namila, har imidlertid tatt en mye mer bokstavelig tilnærming til stramhetstrenden.
Den provoserende klubbtøyskaperen hadde premiere på en stadig kontroversiell «I heart Ozempic»-skjorte under Berlin Fashion Week i juli. Det utløste slinger fra kritikere som anså toppens meldinger som «giftig».
Men det ser ut til at den økende Ozempic-frakkbevegelsen handler mindre om å følge moter med fetttap, og mer om å gjenopplive litt passé-stykker som trenches og peacoats.
Med et muntert farvel til store boblefrakker og overdimensjonerte overkjoler, ruller vogue visjonærer som Yohji Yamamoto – samt Maximilian Davis, den kreative direktøren bak Ferragamo, Sabato De Sarno for Gucci, og Jil Sanders-designerne Luke og Lucie Meier – ut skinny styles for årets høst/vinter kolleksjoner.
Og wannabe-svelte fashionistas spiser det opp.
Online forespørsler etter «lange magre kåper» har angivelig økt med 16 % de siste månedene, per Lyst, en global motesøkemotor.
Gen Z-glamourjenter har til og med sammenlignet vanviddet med den populære «gamle-penger-estetikken» – også kjent som «stealth wealth»-utseendet. Det er et viralt nikk til high-end, men likevel lite flash-garderobeklassikere.
«Drømmenes ‘Inspector Gadget’-frakk,» fosset den NYC-baserte brunetten bak motepåvirkeren TikTok, @AllTheFinery, mens hun modellerte en «nydelig» plissert trenchcoat av Sandro Paris.
Jasmine Howell, en innholdsskaper av kleshest fra Australia, vendte også nylig hodene i en lang, tilpasset vinterhvit kåpe for digitalt publikum, og kalte den midjeskjærende kjeledressen «innbefatningen av undervurdert eleganse».
Og hennes meddiva fra down-under, Katherine Londono, en stylist, hadde separat en figur-flaunting trench fra Pfeiffer.
Hun stemplet det stilige innlegget sitt med hashtags som «#CoatSeason» og «#OldMoneyOutfit».
