Stephen Curry gjorde mer enn å imponere i fjerde kvartal av Team USAs gullmedaljeseier.
Warriors-garden fikk også det beste av Victor Wembanyamas overveldende 7-fots-4-ramme fra utenfor buen lørdag på Bercy Arena for å vinne sin første gullmedalje – Team USAs femte på rad – i en 98-87 seier.
Et bilde av øyeblikket har fått internett til å fange Wembanyama, som ruver mer enn en fot over Curry, og hopper for å stoppe toppskytteren fra å løfte et skudd over ham.
«Den moderne versjonen av David vs Goliat-duell …» skrev en X-bruker.
Curry fortsatte å ha en tåre i fjerde kvartal, og scoret ni poeng i løpet av de siste 10 minuttene, for å garantere en første gullmedalje rundt halsen.
En bøtte fra Wembanyama fikk Frankrike innenfor tre poeng fra USA i fjerde kvartal etter at amerikanerne en gang hadde en tosifret ledelse.

Likevel svarte Curry med en 3-peker bare 10 sekunder senere for til slutt å hjelpe tilbake ledelsen til tosifret.
Han spikret ytterligere to treyballer for å skape en mer komfortabel ledelse, inkludert nok et mirakelskudd på et dobbeltlag med bare 35 sekunder igjen å spille.

Den fire ganger NBA-mesteren og 10 ganger All-Star spilte tidligere ikke i Rio-OL 2016 og Tokyo-lekene.
Som 36-åring valgte Curry å spille i Paris, siden han vil være 40 når OL i 2028 ruller rundt.
Men nå har han et ikonisk øyeblikk for bøkene.
